Where other social media sites collect and keep the money paid to them to put businesses and brands advertisements within your feed, stimulus has businesses and brands (and even non-profits and just generous people) giving that ad-money away to the users of the site!
Why wouldn't you join?
There is a 5 post speed limit per user per 24 hours.
Unlimited reposts, comments/replies, votes and likes.
There is a character limit of 280 characters per post, links included.
Same characters as Twitter/X, and less than Facebook/Instagram.
The main purpose is real life happy social media, the money is a bonus.
Joining
- Must be a legal US resident 18 years of age or older.
- (a) go to stimulus.com and sign-up or (b) click on a referral link of an active user of stimulus and sign-up. NOTE: When you click someone's referral link, they will be able to see you clicked their link to sign up, and whether or not you completed the verification process. They can see your e-mail if you don't get to the choosing an @username part, and only the @username after you have chosen it.
- After clicking "create account":
(a) must agree to the ToS
(b) must verify phone #
(c) must verify e-mail
(d) must choose @username
(e) must provide display name
[preferably one's real name, as on their ID]
(7) must provide ID [front & back]
(9) must verify face with 3 angles of prompted selfies
NOTE: if selfie stage has trouble, the verify will Lock; contact help@stimulus.com to complete the verification process.
If the display name you chose matches the name on your ID you'll see a green check icon by your display name, and if it does not, you will see the "incognito" icon. This is true of all users so you know they are real people interacting, and when they are using an alias/go-by name.
Now you're ready to use Stimulus as your new favorite social media!
GIVEAWAYS
Giveaways replace ads on Stimulus!
- On a mobile phone you must click the present/giftbox icon to see the active giveaways at any given time. (Most smartphone browsers offer two modes to view a website, "Mobile" where the giftbox will be on the bottom to the right, and "PC" where the giftbox will be on the left near the top.)
- On a PC you will see the giveaways in a list to the right.
WINNING A GIVEAWAY!
- US residents 18 and older join and verify ID to become a verified user who can interact on the site. (anyone can look, but only verified users can interact and participate!)
- Add your address and/or payment information so Stimulus knows where to send the winnings if/when you win!
- Enter a giveaway by clicking the green button directing you to like, comment, repost, vote or visit!
It's that easy!
- Winners are chosen by computer, randomly. from valid entries, so there are no human biases.
- Yes, folks can opt-out of winning, in their profile settings, to participate in the giveaway post but give someone else the win.
- Yes, giveaways are reported to the IRS. You are responsible for reporting your winnings to the IRS.
GIVING A GIVEAWAY! (part 1)
- US residents 18 and older join and verify ID.
- (a) Create a brand account (monthly fee), or (b) be an active user showing a clear brand awareness and/or spirit of generosity (free) and get an invitation from Stimulus to run giveaways!
- Add funds to your Stimulus wallet by (a) clicking on the balance and (b) then choosing "add funds." NOTE: if you haven't added payment information, you will not see the "add funds" option so do that first. (c) Payment details are secured by Stimulus and Stripe. (d) The name on the card must match the verified ID of the user, or the business/brand name.
- (e) Enter the amount you wish to add to your Stimulus wallet! NOTE: Giveaways are (as of June 2024) in increments between $50 and $2,500. (f) THIS CANNOT BE UNDONE so, be sure you mean it before you click "add funds now"
GIVING A GIVEAWAY! (part 2)
(g) Click "Start Your First Giveaway" or, if you aren't ready to do the giveaway immediately, you can exit the window and come back to stimulus later and choose the "start a giveaway" option when you click to create a new post.
(h) See your confirmation e-mail proof that the funds were withdrawn from your account immediately, and given to Stimulus so you can run one or more giveaways!
(i) The giveaway set-up screen allows you to choose the amount you are giving away, AND notifies you in subtext if the qualifier (as of June 2024: like, repost/restim, comment, vote, or visit) requires more money to choose it as an option. As example, requiring users to repost your ad in order to enter the giveaway requires $500 to be given away.
GIVING A GIVEAWAY! (part 3)
(j) The giveaway set-up screen also allows you to both choose the number of people winning the money (one person getting all of it, or a number of people splitting/sharing it) and how long to run the giveaway ad. (As of June 2024: 24 hours, 48 Hours, or 72 Hours)
(k) After you click "save" you get to build the actual content of the ad giveaway by posting text, images, video, or even running a text or image poll. This part is like making any other post on Stimulus, and once you stim/post it, it cannot be edited.

Sometimes, when Stimulus runs a paid referral promotion, we are paid $10 Stimulus Credit per new user who signs up through our link and verifies their ID.
GIVING A PRODUCT GIVEAWAY!
- US residents 18 and older join and verify ID.
- (a) Create a brand account (monthly fee), or (b) be an active user showing a clear brand awareness and/or spirit of generosity (free) and get an invitation from Stimulus to run giveaways!
- Integrate your Stimulus and Sticker Mule accounts by clicking your icon in Stimulus and choosing "integrations" followed by "connect" next to Sticker Mule. (If you do not have a Sticker Mule account, you can click "connect" to be prompted to create one. )
- Have at least one product or sample of a product ordered through Sticker Mule to see it as an option for your product giveaway in Stimulus.
- Create a new post in Stimulus and click the dollar icon to add a giveaway, choosing "products" as the type. This is where you will see your Sticker Mule products as options to giveaway to advertise yourself, your brand, business or interests.
- Choose the terms of the giveaway, do you want folks to like, repost, vote, comment, or visit a link? How many winners will get or share the prize? How long will the ad-giveaway run?
- Pay for the product ad-giveaway, post it, and Stimulus and Sticker Mule take care of the rest.
Referrals
A referral is when someone (maybe us) refers someone else to the site, and there is a record of it.
In this case, Stimulus gives referral links to some of its verified and active users, so that they might invite people who haven't joined yet!
UNPAID vs paid & pending REferrals
- July 8, 2024, referrals are paid in Stimulus Credit that cannot be withdrawn, but can be used for hosting Product Giveaways!
- Stimulus pays the new user for signing up & verifying their ID AS WELL AS the existing user for their referrals! That is $10 Stimulus Credit per referral of a new verified user for the referring user, and $10 Stimulus Credit for that new verified user for using the referral link!
- To earn the Stimulus Credit, the new user must (a) click the existing users referral link, (b) sign up, (c) verify their phone number, e-mail, and identity as a real person.
- When a referral has signed-up but not completed the verification, they show up in the "pending" list. Those who did verify, will show either as "paid" when they completed verification during a paid incentive period (which as of July 8th, 2024 is always), or "unpaid" when (before July 8, 2024) the promotion ended or wasn't running at all when they completed verification.
GETTING REferrals
- Be honest when a paid referral promotion is running, and about who is getting paid Stimulus Credits and why.
- Whether you're being paid in credit for it or not, realize and keep in mind that you're endorsing and representing Stimulus when you recommend it and ask folks to join.
- It is usually easiest to start with people you know, so that you can be familiar with the process when you make a public post to strangers.
- Any 18 years or older US resident with a valid ID and an active phone (for texted verification codes) with internet access can join.

Stimulus Credits replaced referral cash on June 27, 2024 to counter deception tactics used by some users to get referral money. Stimulus Credits keep the money spent to refer folks to the community, within the community!

Paid Referral Incentives!
When Stimulus runs a paid referral incentive period, anyone who clicks your referral link, signs-up, and verifies their ID, before the promotion runs out, will earn $10 stimulus credit and so will you!

"CATCHING SMOKE" on stimulus
catch the bot's quotes before they self-delete #catchingsmoke
Stimulus users noticed the bot, Smokey (@smoke), posting fun quotes and then self-deleting them in testing the platform, and started the #catchingsmoke game. It is a just for fun game. To play, like, repost and/or comment on one of Smokey's posts before it self-deletes, AND get picture proof with a screen capture. Then, make a post to share your picture proof and tag it with #catchingsmoke
